The following table provides the released versions of the Calypso® installer in this release.

Note that the latest released version is cumulative, including all features/products/platforms that were available in prior released versions. For example, if you have the most recent released version and the feature/product/platform you are looking for was made available in a prior released version, the latest released version will also include the feature/product/platform.

Includes Service Pack 10A.

The following changes are in effect:

  • CommServe upgrades from Version 8 to Version 9 are no longer supported. You must directly upgrade to Version 10.
  • New installs of CommServe are no longer supported on computers running Windows 32-bit versions. However, existing installs on 32-bit versions are supported.
  • New installs of Content Indexing Engine are no longer supported. Use Version 10 Search Engine for new deployments.

The following additional features are available:

  • OSSV Plug-In can now be installed from CommCell Console.
  • If you install the Web Client by itself on Windows 2008 R2, you must first install .Net 3.5 before performing the installation.
  • Laptop Custom Package created may fail to install.

    If this happens, change the default extraction path to a short path which is not more than 260 characters.

November, 2011

Includes Service Pack 4A.

The following additional features are available:

  • MigrationExclusionList registry key is now supported when upgrading from version 8.0 to 9.0.
  • QR packages are added and created in DISC1.
 

October, 2011

Includes Service Pack 4.

The following additional features are available:

  • Virtualize Me feature is now available in the installation package.
  • Database Upgrade tool is moved from Disc 1 to Disc 11.

The following additional features are available:

  • Express version install now selected only SharePoint iDataAgent.
  • Virtual Server iDataAgent Volume Level Restore can not be restored as Physical Volume
  • Fix for including service pack while creating Custom Package for laptop.
  • Custom Package for Laptop can now be extracted at %temp% path.
  • Documentum Agent is now supported for Windows.
  • Support for Laptop Web Console site on Web Server.
  • Progress indicator for silent install from custom package.
  • The WindPackages.xml now gets added at the end of custom package installation.

The following additional features are available:

  • Express Version now includes all licenses available in Enterprise Version.
  • Custom Package creator now provides the option to select decouple mode during package creation.
  • Laptop and Desktop Monitor is now renamed as Backup Monitor.
  • SQL Server Enterprise install now includes Management Components.
  • Library section registry key now gets deleted when uninstalling Content Indexing Engine.
  • MediaAgent and VSS provides are not auto-selected during install from NetApp DVD2.
  • 32-bit Content Indexing on a Windows x64 computer is installed in Custom Mode.
  • Web Search Server adds Application Development Role Services to Web Server Role.

The following additional features are available:

  • Custom Package Creator:
    • Blank port entries or entries of 0 are now accepted. If the ports are blank or 0, the software will use the default based on number of instances.
    • Custom Package creator now provides the option to select a desired instance for install.
  • Japanese translation changes for EULA and installations are available.
  • Support added for recording unix group/other user's access
  • IIS version checks during installations have been updated for new IIS versions.
  • Workstation Backup has been removed from the installation package.

The following additional features are available:

  • Custom Package Creator:
    • Push install now removes the DATA section under the GalaxyInstaller Registry.
  • Content Indexing Server:
    • Reboots are no longer required when changing the path to the Web Search Server.
    • FAST can now be installed using 32-bit binaries on an x64 computer.
    • In cases where a 32-bit File System Agent is installed on a Windows x64 computer during Web Server installs, the 32-bit File System Agent is configured as the proxy.
    • Content Indexing and Search has been renamed in the Platform Selection screen.
    • Content Indexing Server and 1-Touch are blocked from installs using DISC 1.
  • ROMS now correctly handles nested pre-post paths.
  • Fix for OEMBundleUtility where the icon at the DISC2 root is not replaced has been provided.
  • 1-Touch Recovery installs to new clients and host names.
  • The Web Server Role is omitted for all Exchange Agent installations.
  • The IIS Role is not installed during .NET 3.5 installations on a Windows 2008 R2 computer.
  • The ClientGroupNamesFile.txt is now deleted at the end of installation.
  • SnapProtect for NAS now correctly updates the database.
  • RestartManager is disabled when installing or uninstalling MSIs.
