About this Report

The Data Recovery Recall report displays a high level summary of the recall operations that occurred in a CommCell over a specified period of time.

When to use this Report

Use this report to review the status of the stub recall jobs of the Archive Management agents and to identify when and where these jobs are occurring in your CommNet environment.

What this Report Contains

This report presents the data in the following sections:

Section Description
Recall Chart The chart displays the following status information for the number of recalls that occurred in a CommCell within a specified time period:
  • Completed
  • Failed
  • Killed
  Recovery jobs that initiated the stub recall job must be completed in order to be included in this report.
Recall Table The table provides the same information as in the chart.

How to Generate the Report

1.
  • From the CommNet Browser, click Reports.
  • Under Data Recovery Reports, click Recall Report.

  • Under Cell Selection, expand the CommCells node and select the CommCell(s) to be included in this report.
  • Click Generate.

Scheduling and Saving a Report

After a report is generated, you can schedule a new report and save it to an specific location as a PDF, excel spreadsheet or MHTML file. Scheduling and saving reports will help you analyze and compare data from your CommCells.

Follow the steps below to create a schedule:

  • Click Schedule from the top of the report window.
  • Type the name of the schedule and enter a description.
  • Click Next.
  • Select the appropriate schedule options. For example:
    • Select the time zone.
    • Select the start date and the frequency to generate the report.
    • Change the Start Time to 9:00 PM
    • Click Repeat Task and configure at which interval the schedule should be repeated.
  • Click Next.
  • Select the file format.
  • Click Save To File to save the report to a local drive or network share.

    Specify the Destination Path for the output file.

  • You can also click Send E-Mail to User(s) and/or User Groups(s) to send the report as an email attachment to a user or user group.
  • Click Finish.

The report will be generated as specified in the schedule task.

Customizations That You Can Perform With This Report

You can further customize the report by using the filters available in the report. To access the filter options, click Filters at the top of the report window as shown in the image. After making your selections, click Generate to update the report.  

The following table describes the available filter options.

Filter Description
Time Range Selection You can adjust the reporting period as follows:
  • Specify the number of days.
  • Exclude the most current data by clearing the Include current period checkbox.
  • Display the recall coverage between a specified time.
Override CommCell Weekend configuration By default, the report treats Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the WeekEnd category. You can list weekend days separately by selecting Show Friday, Saturday and Sunday as separate days.
Chart Options By default, the chart displays stacking bars with gridlines. You can change the chart display from the Chart Type drop-down list.

You can also choose to display one or more coverage status by selecting them from Include Status.

CommCell Selection You can refine your cell selection by expanding the CommCells and Cell-Client Groups nodes:
  • Select multiple CommCells and/or Cell-Client Groups.
  • Select a specific client and/or client group from a CommCell.

Additional Reports

The following report is not considered a primary report as it derives from the Data Recovery Recall report.

Recall Detail Report

This report provides a comprehensive list of all the recall operations for a given date. You can access this report by clicking an active bar from the chart in the Recall report.

You can customize this report in the following ways:

  • By filtering the stub recall jobs based on their status using the Filters from the top of the window.
  • By changing the default tree view of the listed jobs to a Table View.
