Customizations That You Can Perform With This Report
The Data Retention Forecast and Compliance Report displays information about a history of data protection jobs, associated media, data aging forecast, and recyclable media based on the selected filter criteria. Note that regardless of the filter options selected for this report, the report always checks retention in days.
You can use the Data Retention Forecast and Compliance Report to review information related to backup jobs, associated media, job aging information, and the amount of disk space for storage policy copies. This report is useful if you need to know:

You can also choose to sort the report information by client or storage policy. If you select Client, the Client tab becomes available, and the Storage Policy tab becomes unavailable. If you select Storage Policy, the Storage Policy tab becomes available, and the Client tab becomes unavailable. |

You must select the Client option on the General tab to make this tab

You can set the report to display information for all computers from the CommCell or select individual clients with the Modify option. You can set the report to include all agent types in the CommCell, or select individual agent types with the Modify option. |

Setting a Report Alert |
This option allows users or user groups to get an automatic notification when a report
is created. If the report output consists of multiple text files, they are
compressed into a CAB file and sent as an attachment. Text output that consists
of a single file is sent according to your settings. Follow the steps given below to set up the criteria to raise notifications/alerts:

The Command Line Interface allows you to generate reports from the command line. The commands can be executed from the command line or can be integrated into scripts.
