Option
For customers who do not have an ad hoc electrical installation compatible with the
DPS 9000/8xx system, Bull offers the following optional package in order to avoid the use
of power supply interfaces having different output voltages:
- A three-phased 400/ three-phased 200 Volt isolating transformer (Marketing Identifier =
PXF 8501) designed to cater for the requirements of the DPS 9000/8xx. This power
supply interface is equipped with the secondary circuit breakers necessary for the
peripherals associated with the computer.
See the two following figures.
Note: In the case of a DPS 9000/8xx in a tandem configuration, up to
four-processor configuration, a second 400/200 Volt transformer is essential.
Connection to a PXF8501 (first transformer for single- and
two-processor configuration)
Connection to a PXF8501 (second transformer for tandem
configuration up to four-processor configuration)
Pre-Requisites:
- The DPS 9000/8xx can only function correctly if the power source complies with precise
standards, especially as concerns frequency and voltage stability. It is therefore
mandatory to install a power source which can be regulated without interruption.
- The crimp terminals on each of the conductors of the power supply cables for the
components of the DPS 9000/8xx (and at the output of the PXF 850 transformer(s), if this
option has been selected) should be supplied by the customer.
An additional cable is installed between each CSM and each CLU of the configuration of
the DPS 9000/8xx. This cable should be braid-protected with a cross-section of 3 x 4 mm˛.
- Note that the SVP cabinet is connected to two power supply cables. These cables
should be braid-protected and each have a cross-section of 4 x 4 mm˛.
- Provision should be made for two direct telephone lines, for remote maintenance, one
with access to the national network from the main OPS console, the other being in the
vicinity of the URP cabinet. Access to the international network is required for sites
installed outside France which have access to the international network.
