Electrical Interference

In order to avoid electrical and/or electromagnetic interference when choosing a location for a data processing site, it is recommended to check that installations such as the following are not located in the immediate vicinity:

• High-voltage lines
• Radar
• Radio or other transmitters

Such generators of electromagnetic interference could adversely affect the operation of the computer systems.

The computer hardware should not be subject to fields in excess of:

• 3 V/m electric field (E)
• 30 A/m magnetic field (H)
