Earthing the Raised Floor

The meshing and creation of an equipotential plan for the structure (actuators) of the raised floor is designed to facilitate the dissipation of electrostatic charges and to protect staff having access to the plenum space of the raised floor from indirect contact.

Pre-Requisites:

The actuators and the raised floor should be earthed using a tin-plated flat braid with a cross-section of at least 10 mm x 2 mm This braid should be connected to the equipotential bar in the data processing dedicated electricity distribution panel.

Note: The meshing braid will be connected directly to the equipotential bar of the electricity distribution panel. See  "Earth circuit diagram for a TN-S point connection".
