Ambient Lighting

The electrical power for the lighting must be separated from the data processing electric power. A task cannot be performed properly unless a suitable and adapted level of lighting is provided. Judicious arrangement of the lighting can prevent risks of direct or indirect dazzling. The position of the lights should be capable of offering homogeneous lighting irrespective of the changes made to the initial installation. It is preferable to use lights embedded in the suspended ceiling.

The average illumination measured at 0.85 m from the ground should be 500 Lux (NF X35-103).

Pre-Requisites:

Lighting can consist of:

• Instant-lighting tubes equipped with interference suppressers, so as to limit interference by electromagnetic waves
• Halogen lamps without intensity regulators.
