The DPS 7000s of the /5x0, /7x0, /8xxX, /Mx0 and /MTx2 series have an "mvc module" which detects the presence of mains current upstream from the customer's DC-AC inverter (U.P.S.). A cut in voltage triggers an alert at the level of the GCOS which is displayed on the system console(s). This alert triggers a proper system shutdown procedure. This procedure is configured in accordance with the autonomy of the batteries of the U.P.S.
Pre-Requisites:
For personal safety reasons, the system console and the MVC should be powered down
in case of cut-out by emergency stop. It is up to the customer to ensure that the MVC
is slaved to the emergency stop system of the data processing centre.
