NOTE :
This utility will create a bootable floppy.
This floppy disk can be used to update the SBXL52 (i.e. NovaScale Blade 2020) and the SBX82 (i.e. NovaScale Blade 2021) NICs or the Fibre Channel Daughter cards ( SBFCM & SBEFCM )
After DOS booting:
- to check you current NIC Firmware version for the SBXL52 (i.e. NovaScale Blade 2020) or SBX82 (i.e. NovaScale Blade 2021), type a:\chkfirm.exe
- to update the SBX82 (i.e. NovaScale Blade 2021) NIC firmware if necessary, type a:\sbx82With IPMI-PT code level 2.45
Technical Advisory :
There have been reports of excessive and sporadic INTEL switch hangs for systems without installation of the Broadcom firmware version 3.36. Please, it's mandatory to upgrade Broadcom devices at least to this level (3.36).
