                           IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES/Procedures
=============================================================================

SBXD62 SAS Controller update package 6.08.00 is contained in the 
floppy diskette image file SBXD62_SAS_FW.IMG. Using a disk image utility 
extract the files to a floppy diskette; this will create a bootable update disk.

To use this diskette, perform the following steps:

    a)  Insert the diskette in the diskette drive.
    b)  Power on your system to boot from diskette drive. If your system does 
        not boot from the diskette, use POST/BIOS setup utility to configure 
        the diskette drive as a boot device.
    c)  Once your system boots, the SAS controller update firmware update 
        will execute automatically.
    d)  When the update completes, remove the diskette from the drive and 
        restart the system.
