It will not affect any device drivers. This package contains several files. Unpack this package to gain access to the individual files within this package. 1.2 Limitations SSL is a commonly used security technology that uses encryption to provide secure TCP/IP communication. In order to comply with regulations regarding the export of products that contain cryptography, the Management Module is shipped without SSL support. In order to install SSL, the installation key file must be obtained and loaded into the Management Module via the web interface. Once the file is loaded, SSL is installed and can be enabled or disabled as desired. If there is an error in loading the Management Module software, retry loading the software by repeating the instructions in section 3. 1.3 Enhancements - See change history 1.4. Management Module Update Version 1.00, BREO27A - First release 3.0 Installing and Setup Instructions ______________________________________ IMPORTANT NOTE: These instructions have changed from previous releases - there are now only two files, and it is necessary to first load the CNETRGUS.PKT file, reset the Management Module, then load the CNETMNUS.PKT file. To use this package, perform the following steps: a). Open a Web browser. In the address or URL field, type the IP address or host name of the Management Module to which you want to connect. The Enter Network Password window opens. Note: The Management Module defaults to DHCP. If a DHCP host is unavailable, the Management Module assigns a static IP address of 192.168.70.125. b). Type your user name and password in the Enter Network Password window. If you are using the Management Module for the first time, you can obtain your user name and password from your system administrator. All login attempts are documented in the event log. A welcome page opens in your browser. Note: The Management Module is set initially with a user name of USERID and password of PASSW0RD (with a zero, not an O). This user has read/write access. Change this default password during your initial configuration for enhanced security. c). Select a timeout value, in minutes, in the field provided. If your browser is inactive for that number of minutes, the Management Module logs you off the Web interface. d). Click Continue to start the session. The browser opens the System Health page, which gives you a quick view of the system status. e). In the navigation frame, click MM Firmware Update under MM Control, then click Browse. f). Switch to the drive and directory containing the unpackaged files. Navigate to the PKT file you want to update. Note: There are two packet files that can be updated: CNETRGUS.PKT CNETMNUS.PKT You need to load the CNETRGUS.PKT packet file, reset the MM, then load the CNETMNUS.PKT file and reset the MM again. g). Click Open. The file (including the full path) appears in the box beside Browse. h). To begin the update process, click Update. A progress indicator opens as the file is transferred to temporary storage on the Management Module. A confirmation page opens when the file transfer is completed. i). Verify that the PKT file shown on the Confirm Firmware Update page is CNETRGUS.PKT (first time) and CNETMNUS.PKT (second time). If not, click the Cancel button. j). To complete the update process, click Continue. A progress indicator opens as the firmware on the Management Module is flashed. A confirmation page opens to verify that the update was successful. k). After receiving a confirmation that the update process is complete, click the option "Restart MM" and click the Restart button. Click OK to confirm that you want to restart the Management Module. NOTE: Restarting the Management Module will disconnect your current session. l). Click OK to close the current browser window. m). To log into the Management Module again, open your browser and follow the regular login process. Note: To cancel this process at any point, click Cancel. n). Repeat the instructions for the CNETMNUS.PKT file. 3.1 SSL Installation ______________________ 3.1.1 Begin a web interface session with the selected Management Module. (See the Installation and User's Guide for more information on using the Management Module web interface.) 3.1.2 Click on Security in the navigation panel. 3.1.3 You are notified that SSL is not installed if the key file has not been loaded previously. Download the key file to a location on your computer, and then specify the location of the file as prompted on the Security page of the web interface. 4.0 Unattended Mode ________________________ This update package does not support unattended installation.
