Notes about Brocade Upgrading :

• Brocade does not support upgrading from more than two previous releases, for example,
  upgrading from Fabric OS v5.1.x to v5.3.x is supported but upgrading from Fabric OS v5.0.x
  or a previous release directly to v5.3.x is not.

• Upgrading to Fabric OS v6.1.1 is only allowed from Fabric OS v6.0.0 or later.

• Transition Version :
  When upgrading to v6.1.0d Fabric OS Firmware from v5.3.x the switch must first be upgraded to v6.0.1a and then upgraded to v6.1

• JAVA Prerequisite :
  The FC Switch Module  Firmware 5.2.1b requires Java version 1.6.0 Update 3 or higher to access to the configuration web Interface.

Notes about QLogic Upgrading :

• Revision number of QLogic firmware :
  The firmware version numbers from QLogic are too long for the management module to display, so the management module truncates the number by displaying the first two digits and the last two digits.
  Example : for Qlogic 6 ports switches, if the revision is "Rev 5510" in Technical Status document, the complete version is 5.5.2.10.
• Technical Advisory : There are two versions of firmware for the Qlogic FC SM 4Gb 6 ports switch, please refer to the following table to select the appropriate firmware for your product.
