The following caveats and open issues remain in this release. Recommended work-around is provided where possible.
For clients running Windows Server 2003, you must supply a domain account rather than a local account for any User Impersonation procedures.
Any user defined subclients created after selecting the Differential Pre-Selected Backup Type will run Incremental backups instead of Differential backups. Also, if a Backup of All Subclients is performed from the iDataAgent level with Pre-Selected Backups selected on Backup Options then all jobs run will be run as Incremental jobs. As a workaround to run Differential backups (after all user defined subclients have been created) open the Properties for the Exchange Database iDataAgent select Incremental and save the changes, then reopen the Properties select Differential and save the changes.
During metadata collection, some components may not be collected which may cause a subsequent restore operation to fail.
Metadata between Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003 are not compatible.
When restoring a Note item, the Note’s Create Time displays the restore time instead of the time the Note was created.
In situations where a new mailbox is created on the Exchange Server, and the operating system as well as Exchange and Outlook are all non-English versions (e.g., French), the backup operation will translate the mailbox folders to English unless you create a profile and log into the new mailbox via Outlook prior to the backup operation.
The Single Sign On feature is not supported with Outlook Add-in Find and Recover operations in a resource domain configuration.
There are no issues to report for this agent.
The following important items should be noted in this release:
For Exchange 2007 Database, you must manually dismount the applicable Storage Group prior to the restore and then manually mount the database after the restore has completed.
For the Exchange 2000 Public Folder iDataAgent, we recommend that you install Microsoft Exchange 2000 Service Pack 3 on your Exchange 2000 Server.
If you wish to install Outlook Add-In and Workstation Backup Agent on the same computer, then ensure that both of the components are from the same release version.
