Release Notes - Novell GroupWise iDataAgent

Caveats

The following caveat remains in this release. A recommended work-around is provided.

Only one GroupWise iDataAgent backup can run at a time with the use of GWTSA.NLM

Due to the way Novell's GWTSA.NLM works, two GroupWise database backup jobs running concurrently will interrupt each other. This causes the first backup job to falsely indicate it has completed successfully when, in fact, the backup data is incomplete and unusable. If your GroupWise server is using GWTSA.NLM to run backups, you can prevent this scenario by scheduling jobs to run at separate times.

Novell suggests using the Target Service Agent TSAFSGW.NLM for GroupWise database backups.

After Install of GroupWise iDataAgent on OES Linux the username and password needs to be configured

After installing the GroupWise iDataAgent on OES2 Linux operating system, the username and password of a GroupWise administrator must be configured in the Agent's Properties. The administrator account must have permission to perform backup and recovery operations for the GroupWise database.
