The instances for a database agent may have to be shut down before or while you install/upgrade and uninstall the agent. This is illustrated in the following table.

* For each deployment procedure where the Oracle database must be shut down, you will need to reboot the client computer after the procedure. Therefore, you may want to plan an appropriate time to perform the deployment procedure to minimize impact on the Oracle production environment.
