File/File Group Subclient Backup Conversion Rules 

Use this dialog box to view or edit the rules this system uses to convert backup jobs for SQL Server files and file group subclients under special circumstances to prevent failure conditions.

Convert file and file group subclients

When not selected, the system will fail backup jobs that fit the given circumstances. When selected, the system converts differential backups to full backups under the following conditions:

Convert SQL Server differentials to full backups if: 

• First system backup - Performs a full backup the first time the database has any backup job requested.
• Database creation time is newer than last system backup - The next backup job will be switched to full.
• Subclient content is modified - When there has been a change to the subclient content, the next backup job is enforced as a full.
