Mount Path Properties (Shared Disk Device)

Use this dialog box to view the properties of the shared disk device that is associated with the mount path.

Properties

Device Alias Name

The alias provided by the user, for the device. The alias can be changed at any time without affecting the ability to restore data that may have already been backed up using the library.

Currently Mounted On

The name of the MediaAgent in which the device is currently mounted. Note that this option is not applicable for a cloud target.

Capacity

The total amount of space available in the shared device. Note that this option is not applicable for a cloud target.

LUN

Some physical disk devices are divided into sub devices called logical units. Each logical unit is treated as an independent disk device, although several logical units may share the same ID Type/ID pair. Together, the ID Type/ID/LUN represent the unique identity of the physical volume. Note that this option is not applicable for a cloud target.

Unique ID the value of the physical identifier (e.g. WWN) for the device. Note that this option is not applicable for a cloud target.

Status

Device Enabled

When selected, the device is  enabled and available for use.

When cleared the device is disabled and hence inaccessible to the MediaAgent.

A device's online/offline status reflects its logical availability to the MediaAgent, not its physical availability. For example, a device can be enabled even if it is physically unavailable due to hardware failure.

Status

Indicates whether the device is currently online or offline.

Reason

Indicates the offline reason, when the Status of the device is displayed as Offline.
