Copy Properties (Copy Policy)

Use this dialog box to select the amount of time and number of full backup cycles that you want to retain the data that was backed up via this storage policy.

Select either All Backups or a Backups On and After Date.

If selected, all backup data will be copied from the primary copy to the secondary copy.  If cleared, the Backups on and After field is enabled.

If selected, only the backup data after the specified date will be copied from the primary copy to the secondary copy. This date can be on, before, or after the current CommServe date.

If cleared, all backup data will be copied from the primary copy to the secondary copy.

 Source Copy

• Specify Source for Auxiliary Copy

  Specifies the copy that will be used in the place of a primary copy during the auxiliary copy operation.  Note that the source of an auxiliary copy can be a synchronous copy whether the new copy is a selective or synchronous copy; however, the source of an auxiliary copy can only be a selective copy if the new copy is a selective copy also.  A selective copy cannot be the source for an auxiliary copy when the new copy is a synchronous copy.
