Use this tab to view and establish the assignment method for newly discovered mailboxes. You can assign auto-discovered mailboxes to this subclient based on name patterns using the Regular Expressions method, or to any subclient within the backup set/archive set based upon Mailbox Store association using the Storage Group Affinity method, or based upon Active Directory User Group using the AD User Group Affinity method.
Automatically add new mailboxes that don't qualify for membership in any of the sub-clients
Specifies whether to assign auto-discovered mailboxes to the contents of this subclient in cases where they are not assigned to any other subclient within the Archive Set / Backup Set. This option is selected by default for the Exchange Mailbox iDataAgent and Online Content Indexing for Exchange Agent, and is cleared by default for the Exchange Mailbox Archiver Agent. Clearing this option will disable auto-discovery on the default subclient.
Add Mailbox Display Name
Displays a list of mailbox display name patterns that will cause auto-discovered mailboxes for this subclient that match the specified pattern(s) to be assigned to this subclient. This display pane is enabled only when the Match Mailboxes by Regular Expressions option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab.
Mailbox Display Names
Use this space to enter a mailbox display name pattern using regular expressions (i.e., wildcards) to specify that newly discovered mailbox display names matching that pattern during auto-discovery will be assigned to this subclient. This field is enabled only when the Match Mailboxes by Regular Expressions option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab. Add
Click to commit the mailbox display name pattern for auto-discovery entered in the Mailbox Display Names field to the Add Mailbox Display Name display pane. This button is only available when the Match Mailboxes by Regular Expressions option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab.
Remove
Click to delete the selected mailbox display name pattern for auto-discovery entry. This button is only available when the Match Mailboxes by Regular Expressions option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab.
Mailbox Stores display pane
Displays a list of the Mailbox Store(s) where auto-discovered mailboxes for this subclient will be backed up/archived, when the Storage Group Affinity option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab.
AD User Group display pane
Displays a list of the Active Directory User Group(s) where auto-discovered mailboxes for this subclient will be backed up/archived, when the AD User Group Affinity option is selected on the Archive Set / Backup Set Properties (Auto Discover) tab.
