After adding a NAS NDMP client, the system automatically creates a default backup set, which contains a default subclient. After installation, you have the option of defining a User Create Backup Set, which also will contain a default subclient.

Multiple Backup Set Considerations for NAS NDMP Clients

Consider the following when creating and using multiple backup sets for NAS NDMP clients:

• If multiple backup sets are defined for a NetApp client, then the user-defined backup sets can only run full backups, but there are no limitations on the type of backups that can be run for the default backup set.
• If multiple backup sets are defined for a NAS NDMP client (except Netapp), only full backups can be run on the second backup; incremental or differential backups are not supported.
