Post Recovery

Use this window to perform additional options on the CommServe that was recovered.

Mark all tapes exported

If selected, all tapes are marked exported within all libraries of the CommServe database. You can also reset these libraries once their libraries and drives are configured, in order to rediscover the media.

Set new e-mail server

If selected, a new e-mail server is set for the new CommServe. This option is particularly useful if you want to avoid flooding the old CommServe's e-mail server with new alerts, reports, or other forms of notification.  You can select a new e-mail server, or put a null entry (which results in no e-mail server).

Change all user e-mail address to

If selected, a new e-mail address for all CommServe users is set for the new CommServe. This option is particularly useful if you want to avoid flooding users of the old CommServe with alerts, reports, or other forms of notification.

Delete all Active jobs

If selected, all jobs that were active at the point in time when the original CommServe was restored will be deleted.  Before selecting this option, you must first stop CommServe services.

Disable MediaAgent

If selected, all the MediaAgents in the CommServe will be disabled.

Reset the index cache timestamps

If selected, CommServe Disaster Recovery Tool will reset all index cache timestamps. This enables the CommServe Disaster Recovery Tool to verify if an index cache label (ICL) file exists, and if not, automatically create one.

Enable exact index restore

If selected, the CommServe Disaster Recovery Tool will use the same exact index when restoring the Disaster Recovery Backup data.

Update Windows Version for CommServe

If selected, the CommServe Disaster Recovery Tool will update the CommServe database with the operating system's installation information, which will prevent conflicts with Automatic Updates and scheduling.

Disable Schedules

If selected, all the scheduled tasks in the CommServe will be disabled.

Disable Update Caches

If selected, all clients designated as update cache computers will no longer distribute update(s) to their associated clients. If configured for automatic updates, clients will receive their updates from the CommServe Update Cache.

Reset Update Info for CommServe

If selected, leftover update and service pack information will be removed from the source database for the CommServe Update Cache, resetting the status of the baseline.

SRM Report Server Key File

The SRM Report Server Key will be restored with the selected file.
