Overview

If the Erase Backup/Archived Data option is selected from the Job Summary Report Selection dialog box, the Erase Backup/Archived Data Job Summary Report will be created. The Erase Backup/Archived Data Job Summary Report displays details for erase data jobs that makes erased data unavailable for recovery. Once so marked, the data remains on the media until it is aged off according to the retention rules set for the data; however, the data can no longer be browsed or recovered. Usage

This report is useful if you require:

• A summary of erase data jobs.
• To view all erase data jobs during a specified time period.
• Detailed erase data information such as:
  • The total erase data jobs run.
  • The duration (transfer time) of the job.
  • The size of the job.
  • The initiating user who started the job.
  • The failure reason (if necessary), and associated events.
  • The options that were selected for the job before the job was run.
  • The status of the job, and the throughput unit.
