Restore by Jobs for File System Data

To perform a Restore by Jobs for file system or Legal Hold data:

  1. Right-click the backup set or Legal Hold set (for Legal Hold data) of the appropriate agent, click All Tasks and then click Restore by Jobs.
  2. In the Restore by Jobs filter dialog box, if you would like to restore jobs whose start and end times fall within a absolute time range, click Specify jobs from list.  On the other hand, if you would like to restore jobs whose start and end times fall within a time range relative to when the restore will start, click Specify time range.
  3. Click the appropriate Backup Type and Job Status
  4. If desired, click Advanced to select additional restore options in the Advanced Filter Options dialog box.  Then click OK.
  5. In the Time Range area, use the spaces to select the absolute or relative time range for the jobs.
  6. Click OK from the Restore by Jobs filter dialog box.
  7. In the Backup Job History dialog box, click the jobs that you would like to restore.  Using the right-click menu, select Restore Selected Jobs.
  8. In the General tab of the Restore Options dialog box and the Job Initiation tab of the Restore Options dialog box, select/set the appropriate destination and any other desired options, and click OK.

Restore by Jobs for CommServe DR Data

To perform a Restore by Jobs to restore CommServe DR data:

  1. Right-click the CommServe icon, click All Tasks and then click DR Restore.
  2. Make selections as appropriate in the DR Job History filter dialog box and then click OK.
  3. Select the jobs to restore from the Admin Job History dialog box and then click Restore.
  4. In the General and Job Initiation tabs of the Restore Options dialog box, select/set the appropriate destination and any other desired options.
  5. If desired, click the appropriate button for each corresponding item that you would like to select/set and then click OK.
  6. Continue the restore.
