Auxiliary Copy Parallel Copy allows you to define a storage policy copy
to be configured with a parallel copy, which specifies that after
reading the source copy (only once) data can be written to multiple
secondary copies concurrently rather than sequentially. This optimizes
use of media, thereby decreasing the time needed to run auxiliary copy
operations. The Parallel Copy feature is enabled from the General tab of the Storage Policy Copy Properties dialog box.

A Parallel Copy can be enabled on a secondary storage policy copy configured to write to multiple copies. Copies can be written in parallel when the jobs copied are the same and being read from one source. For step-by-step instructions on enabling this feature, see Enable a Parallel Copy or Create a Synchronous Copy.
When enabled, after reading the source copy (only once) data can be written to multiple secondary copies concurrently rather than sequentially. This optimizes use of media, thereby decreasing the time needed to run auxiliary copy operations.
When you configure the parallel copy, resources are held until operations are complete. Therefore, do not enable this feature unless the jobs being copied are the same.
