Windows Server 2008 R2 support is provided in this release with 8.0 SP4 or higher.

When you install the software on Windows Server 2008 R2, verify and ensure the following:


Registry Key when Installing

When installing CommNet Server on a Windows Server 2008 R2 computer, you may get this error message:

Windows Service Pack 1 is not installed. You must install Service Pack 1 or higher before setup can proceed

To bypass this error message, configure this Registry Key:

Description

This registry key is used to skip the service pack check on Windows platforms. Set this key to 1 to bypass the Windows service pack checking during the installation of packages.

When this key is disabled, this error message may be displayed: Windows Service Pack 1 is not installed. You must install Service Pack 1 or higher before setup can proceed.
