Client Q-Factor
Use this window to determine if you have adequate data protection coverage by
comparing calculated Q-Factor averages for this client (and its applications and
subclients) against the admissible q-factor.
If the average Q-Factor
does not meet this benchmark, the following items in this window allow you to
quickly determine the reasons why, and this will help you in planning for more
adequate data protection coverage in the future:
- Admissible Q-Factor.
- Average Q-Factor per client.
- Average Q-Factor per application.
- A Q-Factor per Application
pie chart which allows you to see how many subclients were above and below the Admissible Q-Factor.
- Lists each subclient per application, and displays a red icon if
that subclient was below or a green icon if that subclient
was above the Admissible Q-Factor, for each short-term
and/or long-term category, using what was defined in the
Q-Factor Setup
dialog box, for this CommCell or the CommNet Server.
- For the any column other than the Short-term No DP Failures <n> day(s)
column, click any red or green icon to see a
Data
Protection Coverage Report. From the Data Protection Coverage
Report, you can access the Data Protection Detail Report, which
provides you with more specific information as to why the Q-Factor for a
subclient was low, such as job failure reasons. In this report, you can
double-click any entry to access the Job Detail
screen, which provides more space for Failure Reason, Attempt and Copy
information to be displayed. For the Short-term No DP Failures <n> day(s)
column, click any icon to view the Data Protection Detail Report.
