Where to Install the Software

The MediaAgent is installed on a computer that satisfies the minimum requirements specified in System Requirements - MediaAgent.

Installation

The software can be installed using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Install Software from the CommCell Console - to install remotely on a client computer.
Method 2:
- Install the MediaAgent - Windows - to install directly on Windows client computer.
- Install a MediaAgent - Unix - to install directly on Unix client computer.
  Install a MediaAgent - Unix Cluster - to install directly on Unix client computer in a clustered environment.
  Install a Media Agent -Solaris - to install directly on Solaris client computer.

Once you install the software you must configure a Libraries and Drivers and create a Policy. This is explained in Library and Drive Configuration.
