Volume Explorer

Use this dialog box to configure the disk volumes of a client computer that is eligible for data protection operations by Image Level, or Quick Recovery Agent. For more information refer to Volume Explorer in the Books Online.

Hosts

Lists all Windows MediaAgents and all Quick Recovery Agent clients.

Volumes

Lists the disk volumes that VE has detected on the currently selected host.

For Linux clients, partitions that have been deleted on a locally connected IDE drive will continue to appear in Volume Explorer until the Linux client has been rebooted.

Configure cxbf device

This right-click option opens the Submit Configure Request dialog box, allowing you to configure cxbf devices on Unix clients.

Deconfigure cxbf device

This right-click option de-configures the selected cxbf devices on Unix clients.

The Delete Volume From Host button allows you to remove information about the currently selected volume from the VE database.
The Mount Volume button allows you to add a new mount point to the current volume. This operation can also be accessed by right clicking a volume in the volume panel.
The Unmount Volume button allows you to remove a mount point from the current volume. This operation can also be accessed by right clicking a volume in the volume panel.
Click the Configure button to display the current VE properties for the selected volume. This operation can also be accessed by right clicking a volume in the volume panel.
Click the Detect Volumes on Selected Host button to scan for volumes on the currently selected host, and update its database with any new information found.
Click the Refresh Volume Manager Display button to update the VE display from information stored in the database, without scanning for changes on any of the hosts.
