Auxiliary Copy Options

Use this dialog box to select the criteria to perform an auxiliary copy operation.

Select a Storage Policy

Allows you to select the storage policy from which you will run an auxiliary copy operation. (Applicable for the CommServe level only. This field will not display storage policies that do not have secondary copies configured.)

Select Source MediaAgent

Allows you to select the source MediaAgent from which you will run the auxiliary copy. (Applicable for copies that are configured with a shared library only.)

Copy Selection

Number of Readers

Allows you to select the data streams that are copied at the same time during the auxiliary copy operation.

Start new media

If selected, the option causes the following to occur: If cleared, the auxiliary copy automatically uses the current active media or volume.

Mark media full after successful operation

If selected, the media used for the auxiliary copy operation is marked full after the operation is successfully completed.

Select most recent full backup when auxiliary copy starts

If selected, the most recent successful full backup for each subclient will be copied when an Auxiliary Copy job is run. If not selected, only the previously selected full backup job will be copied when the Auxiliary Copy job is run.

Job should wait for all parallel copy resources

If selected, the auxiliary copy operation will not start for parallel copies until all resources (MediaAgents and libraries) for the parallel copy are available.

Save As Script

Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.

When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding xml parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
