File Version Restore / All Versions

Use this dialog box to restore a selected version or all versions of a file/object, available for the specified Browse dates. Note that all the options described in this help may not be available and only the options displayed in the dialog box are applicable to the agent for which the information is being displayed.

The following information is displayed for each available version of the file/object. Note that when viewing multiple versions of a file, the files are listed from the most recent version at the top of the list to the oldest version at the bottom.

Restore

Click to restore the selected file/object version.

Restore All

Click to restore all the versions of the file.

The uniqueness of each version is retained by appending the version number to the file name. For example: file,1.txt, file,2.txt, etc.

Note that file,1.txt would be the most recent version, while file,2.txt would be the next recent version and so on.

  • For SharePoint Document and SharePoint Archiver, instead of the behavior described above, Restore All will restore all versions of a multi-versioned document to a Version Enabled Library.
  • For Documentum, instead of the behavior described above, Restore All will restore all versions of a multi-versioned document to a Documentum Content Server.
