Browse/Search/Recovery Option

Use this dialog box to configure options for the Browse, Search, and Recovery operations.

Show Aged Data during Browse and Recovery

When enabled, information associated with aged data in aged media will be viewable in browse operations (and subsequent restore operations) performed in the CommCell

Disable Confirmation Message for Restore Jobs

When enabled, confirmation messages will no longer be displayed for restore jobs.

Automatically Switch Copy to Read Data from any Copy

When enabled, copy precedence automatically changes if the primary copy is unreachable.

Start End User restores in suspended state

When enabled, all end user restore jobs initiated from the Search Console will automatically start in a suspended state.

Start Compliance User restores in suspended state

When enabled, all compliance user restore jobs initiated from the Search Console will automatically start in a suspended state.

Recover Apple Resource Fork Data

Specifies whether to restore encoded Apple resource fork data to your non-Macintosh file system.

Enable Exchange Delegate Search

When enabled, searches include data from Exchange mailboxes that are delegated to end-users through Outlook. Outlook-configured delegate information is updated every 24 hours.

Allow Point-in-time for SQL Across Cycles

This option is disabled by default, meaning that Point-in-time restore operations for SQL that falls out of the current cycle won't be allowed. When the option is enabled, the out of range pop-up message won't be shown and a time outside the current cycle will be allowed. Note that in order to restore in between cycles, a previous cycle must be restored first and the database must be left in no recovery or standby state. A new browse is required to show the next cycle. The Skip Full Backup option must be selected in this case so that only log backups are applied to achieve the point in time selected.
