Barcode Patterns

Use this dialog box to add a new barcode pattern that must be used to identify media.

Barcode Pattern Name

Specifies the name for the barcode pattern. Use the space to add or modify the name.

Barcode Pattern Options

Specifies the options defined for the barcode pattern.

• Begins With

  Specifies the starting string in the barcode. Use the space to add or modify the starting characters for the pattern. (e.g., "AB1")

• Ends With

  Specifies the ending string in the barcode. Use the space to add or modify the ending characters for the pattern. (e.g., "L1")

• Contains

  Specifies the string contained in the barcode. Use the space to add or modify the characters contained in the pattern. (e.g., "S00")

• Excludes

  Specifies the string that should be excluded from the Contains string . Use the space to add or modify the characters that must be excluded. (e.g., "DG")

• Range

  Specifies the numerical range for the barcode. Use the From and To options to add or modify the numerical range. (e.g., "010000" to "090000")

• Exclude Range

  Specifies the range that should be excluded from the Range string. Use the From and To options to add or modify the excluded range. (e.g., "T20000" to "T29999")

When more than one option is defined, all the options will be used to identify media. For example, if the Begins With option is defined as "AB1" and the Ends With option is defined as "S" all the barcodes starting with "AB1" and ending with "S" will be identified.

Selected Options

Displays the patterns established for this barcode pattern.
