Use this tab to set activity Control settings for Workstation Backup Clients. Note that this configuration will apply to all Workstation Backup Clients configured to this CommServe. Individual Workstation Backup clients can override this global settings, from the Client Properties - Workstation Client Settings dialog.
Allow Backup Control
Specifies if backup jobs can be executed from the client console.
Show recovery page
Specifies if restore jobs can be executed from the client console.
Show scheduling page
Specifies if backup jobs can be scheduled from the client console.
Allow Content Management
Specifies if the content for backup can be managed from the client console.
Allow compare data before backup
Specifies if optimized full and optimized incremental backups can be executed from the client console.
Allow to change smart scheduling parameters
Specifies if the smart scheduling can be managed from the client console.
Allow to run data verification jobs
Specifies if the data verification report can be generated from the client console.
Allow to generate data verification report at the end of backup jobs
Specifies if the data verification report at the end of backup jobs can be generated from the client console.
Show alters to users if ... successive jobs failed
Specify the number of successive backup job failures, after which the client is alerted. Default value is set to 5.
Minimum bandwidth before a backup can be attempted (KB)
Specify the minimum bandwidth required for the client to attempt a backup job. Jobs go into Suspended state when the minimum bandwidth is not available, and Resume when the required bandwidth becomes available. Default value is set to 128 KB.
Journal Chunk size (KB)
Specifies the chunk size of the journal files created in the client. The default value is set to 1024 KB.
