Use this dialog box to view or modify the mount path properties of a disk library.
Attributes
When selected, the system can write the data in a format that can be single instancing by hardware that supports single instancing.
Enable this option on hardware appliances that support single instancing of data. E.g., Centera.
Select this option to prevent contents of mount paths (on Windows platforms) from being accidentally deleted. Mount paths created when this option is enabled are protected from accidental deletion.
Mount Path Usage
The following parameters are applicable when there are several mount paths in the disk library:
Specifies that the system should completely consume (fill) the free space in a mount path before utilizing another mount path.
Specifies that the system should round-robin (spill) between the available mount paths for each job.
Thresholds for Managed Disk Space
The following parameters for free disk space is considered for data aging when the Enable Managed Disk Space for disk data option is enabled in the Retention tab of the Copy Properties dialog box.
The following parameters can be established:
Specifies the disk capacity in percentage that must be reached before data is aged when the Data Aging operation is run. If necessary, use the space to modify the threshold. Note that any pre-determined basic or extended retention rules must be met before the data is aged.
Specified the disk capacity in percentage, when reached, data is not aged during a Data Aging operation. If necessary, use the space to modify the threshold.
Mount Path Allocation Policy
When selected, no maximum limit on the number of concurrent data protection operations to the disk library will be established.
When selected, allows you to establish the maximum number of concurrent data protection operation on the disk library.
