CommNet Properties

Use this dialog box to view the CommNet Agent properties.

Agent Version

Specifies the software version of the CommNet Agent.

Displays a list of installed updates (e.g., patches, service packs).

Specifies the name(s) of the CommNet Server(s) to which the CommCell is registered. A CommCell can be registered to a total of two CommNet Servers, a primary and secondary server; each utilized for different purposes. The Primary CommNet Server is used to monitor the CommCell and to run cost analysis tasks, whereas the Secondary CommNet Server is only used to monitor the CommCell. If the CommCell is only registered to one CommNet Server, then this server must be designated as the Primary CommNet Server since it allows for cost category and billing entity configurations as well as the ability to work with global filters. Primary CommNet Server

This option is selected by default when the CommCell is only registered to one CommNet Server. However, if the CommCell is registered to two CommNet Servers, and this option is selected, the CommNet Server displayed in the CommNet Server dropdown list is the Primary Server for the CommCell. If this option is not selected, the CommNet Server displayed in the dropdown list is the Secondary Server for the CommCell. Selecting/deselecting this option will reverse the roles of the CommNet Servers, which may not be suitable for your environment. Therefore, be sure to review the CommNet Server Books Online to understand the effects of switching the roles of the CommNet Servers. If this is necessary to do, upon deselecting this option, thereby designating the Primary Server as a Secondary, you will be prompted to designate another CommNet Server as the Primary (and vice versa). 

Last Update Sent On

Specifies the date(s) the last update(s) occurred.

UnRegister from CommNet

Click to unregister the CommServe from the CommNet. This prevents the CommServe from communicating with the CommNet Server(s).
