Use this dialog box to add a QR Policy or to edit an existing entry. Note that some options may not be available.
Policy Name
Displays the name of the QR Policy. Type or modify the name of the QR Policy in this field.
Snapshot Engine Type
Lists the available snapshot engines. To change the snapshot engine, click the pull-down arrow and click one in the list.
Retention Policy
Displays the length of time the QR Volume will exist before it can be pruned.
Selecting the Infinite checkbox prevents the QR Volume from ever being pruned. Clearing the Infinite checkbox makes the field to its right available for use.
Specifies the number of days, hours, or weeks that the QR Volume is retained. Use the pull down arrow to choose days, hours, or weeks. Enter a number in the box to the left.
Enable QR Volume Creation
Specifies whether QR Volumes can be created. Selecting this checkbox allows QR Volumes to be created. Not selecting (or clearing) this checkbox allows only snapshots to be created.
Copy Manager
Lists the available Copy Managers. To change the Copy Manager, click the pull-down arrow and click one in the list.
Scratch Volume Pool
Lists the available Scratch Volume Pools. To change the Scratch Volume Pool, click the pull-down arrow and click one in the list.
Specifies whether Recovery Points are enabled. Selecting this checkbox allows Recovery Points to be created. If this checkbox is cleared, Recovery Points cannot be created.
Maximum Number of Recovery Points to Retain Per QR Volume
If the Enable Recovery Points checkbox is selected, this field allows you to enter a value from 1 to 32 for the number of Recovery Points you wish to create.
