Use this tab to recover a DB2 database or DB2 DPF database partitions without selecting backup images.
Recover DB
Specifies that you can recover a DB2 database or DB2 DPF database partitions without selecting backup images from the CommCell Console. This option is selected by default whenever you set up a DB2 or DB2 DPF iDataAgent restore. Whenever this option is selected, the Restore Arguments and Advanced tabs are disabled. This option is disabled whenever the options for a partial database restore and/or and out-of-place restore are selected.
Specifies whether to restore the DB2 database or DB2 DPF database partitions per all the logs associated with the database or partitions. This option is selected by default whenever you choose to recover a DB2 database or DB2 DPF database partitions.
Specifies whether to recover the DB2 database or DB2 DPF database partitions based on the state and contents of the database to a specific point in time. To change this time, click in the list as appropriate.
Displays the alternate log path to be searched for all of the archived logs during the database recovery if the system does not find all of the information that it needs in the history file path (discussed next). Use this option if log files were moved to a location other than that specified by the logpath database configuration parameter. Click Browse to browse for and select the overflow directory.

Click this option and use Browse to select the history file that the system will check in order to select the backup image to restore. If the history file is not available, be sure to restore this file first before you recover the database. If the system does not find all the information in the history file that it needs to recover the database, the Overflow Directory (discussed above) is searched.
If hardware revert capabilities are available, specifies to overwrite any modifications to the data since the time when the snapshot was created and to bring the data back to the point-in-time when the snapshot was created.
Specifies to leave the DB2 database in the roll-forward state. With this option, online logs cannot be restored using snap restore.
If Recover DB above is not selected, click to select additional restore options. This option is disabled if Recover DB is selected.
