Restore Options (Search Shared Database)

Use this dialog box to select the restore options for the Search Database.

SSP Name

Displays the name of the Shared Service Provider associated with the Database being restored. You can use this space to change the Shared Service Provider name.

Web App URL

Displays the URL of the Web Applications that are associated with the Shared Service Provider.

WSS Name

Displays the name of the Windows SharePoint Service (WSS).

Description

Displays the description of the Shared Service Provider being restored.

Database Server

Displays the name of the server that holds the SharePoint databases. You can use this space to change the server name.

Database Name

Displays the name of the Search Database. You can use this space to change the Database name.

Restore Defaults

Click to undo any changes made to the fields.

Database file(s) location on the destination server

You can use this space to specify a path on the destination server for the database file(s), when performing a cross-machine restore.

Log file(s) location on the database server

You can use this space to specify a path on the destination server for the log file(s), when performing a cross-machine restore.

Browse

Click to browse the file system and find a specific path for database / log file(s) on the destination server.

The two Browse buttons are applicable only if the SQL Databases are:

Advanced

Click to display the Advanced Restore Options screen.

Save As Script

Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.

When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding xml parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
