CAUTION
When changing a time zone for a storage policy, the changes take effect immediately. The data aging operations will prune jobs according to the associated storage policy's time zone. If a job is scheduled to be pruned on a specific date, this will not change. The job will still be pruned on that date; however, it may be later or earlier depending on the time zone change. With this, changing the time zone of a storage policy is for advanced users due to potential loss of data. For example, a storage policy's designated time zone is defined as Eastern Standard Time (US and Canada), and several backup jobs are set to be pruned on October 31st. If the storage policy's time zone is changed to Eastern Standard Time (Australia), the jobs will still be pruned on October 31st; however, they will be pruned a day earlier. This could pose a potential problem for your environment, so it is advised to use caution if changing the storage policy's time zone.
