Watermark Rule
Specifies whether the mailbox high and low watermarks will be examined. Mailbox watermarks are checked against the mailbox’s smallest quota among warning quota, stop sending quota, and stop sending/receiving quota. If a mailbox’s quota is set to Use Default, the smallest quota of its database will be used. If there is no quota set at the database level, the mailbox will be considered as no quota set. It will be skipped unless the Mailbox Quotas option is unchecked.
Use this space to specify the mailbox size high watermark value. When the Mailbox Quotas checkbox is selected, the mailbox will be scanned if the mailbox size is higher than the value specified here.
Use this space to specify the mailbox size low watermark value. When the Mailbox Quotas checkbox is selected and the mailbox is scanned, the scan will continue until the estimated mailbox size after archiving is lower than the value specified here.
The watermark rules apply for both traditional mailbox messages as well as additional metadata, such as deletion stubs and views, that users may not be aware of. Thus, when specifying high and low watermarks, the values entered should account for space used by both mailbox messages and additional metadata. |
