Add/Remove Software Configuration (Download)

Use this dialog box to configure the FTP site that will be accessed to download the updates to the CommServe Update Cache.

Download From

• FTP Site

  Indicates the location from which updates will be automatically downloaded. Change the site if your FTP site for downloading updates differs from the default location.

• User Name

  Indicates the user name used to access the FTP site for downloading updates.

• Change

  Click to change the user name and password used to access the FTP site.

• Revert to Factory Settings

  Click to retrieve the original account information settings used to access the FTP site.

• Use Direct Connection for FTP Operations

  When selected, indicates a direct connection will be used for FTP operations.

  • Use Passive FTP Connection

    When selected, indicates a passive connection will be used for FTP operations.

• Use HTTP Proxy for FTP operations

  When selected, indicates that a HTTP proxy server can be used as an intermediary, when updates are sent from the FTP site to the appropriate computers.

• HTTP Proxy Settings

  Click to configure the HTTP proxy server.

• Use FTP Proxy for Operations

  When selected, indicates that an FTP proxy server can be used as an intermediary, when updates are sent from the FTP site to the appropriate computers.

  Click to configure the FTP proxy server.
