Cell Configuration (Data Protection Window)

Use this dialog box to view or modify the values associated with the data protection window in the CommCells.

CommCell

Displays a list of registered CommCells.

Display Name

The display name of the CommCell, as indicated during the CommCell registration.

Interface Name

The full interface name of the CommServe host machine, as indicated during the CommCell registration.

Treat Fri to Sun as Weekend

When selected, the software considers data protection window for the week as follows:

• Individual data protection windows for Monday to Thursday (separate units)
• Single data protection window for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (single unit)

When cleared, the software considers data protection window for the week as follows:

• Individual data protection windows for Monday to Thursday (separate units)
• Individual data protection windows for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (separate units)

Mon - Thu

The data protection window for weekdays.

• Start Time

  Specify the start time of the data protection window for weekdays.

• End Time

  Specify the end time of the data protection window for weekdays.

Fri - Sun

The data protection window for weekends.

• Start Time

  Specify the start time of the data protection window during weekends. The values should be as follows:

  If Treat Fri to Sun as weekend option is selected, the start time of the entire weekend.

  If Treat Fri to Sun as Weekend option is cleared, the start time for each of the weekend days.

• End Time

  Specify the end time of the data protection window during weekends. The values should be as follows:

  If Treat Fri to Sun as Weekend option is selected, the end time of the entire weekend.

  If Treat Fri to Sun as Weekend option is cleared, the end time for each of the weekend days.

Coverage

The time used to determine whether coverage exists on a specific day. Any data protection operation performed after this time is considered to have covered the data for that specific day.

Consider backups starting after <time/day> as today's coverage

Specify the time that must be used to determine the coverage aspect for a specific day. Note that the time specified in this dialog box are interpreted into the CommCell's time zone, while considering the data protection window for the CommCell.

Restore Values

When clicked, restores the values associated with the previously saved configuration.
