Use this dialog box to set up the CommCell SLA configuration by:
Inherit From The Software (CommCell level only)
If selected, the SLA configuration for the CommNet Server will be used in computing the SLA for a CommCell.
If cleared, a unique SLA configuration can be setup for a CommCell from this dialog box.
Admissible SLA
Sets the benchmark level for all SLA calculations. Adequate data protection coverage is determined by comparing actual calculations against this benchmark.
Coverage Category Weights
Use the slider to determine the relative weight that each short term and long term coverage category will have in the SLA calculation. The software automatically calculates weight percentages for each category based on the position of the slider.
Short Term Coverage Category
Allows you to specify the minimum number of days that at least one data protection operation must have occurred, and a relative priority.
Allows you to specify the minimum number of days that at least one full data protection operation must have occurred, and a relative priority.
This ensures that multiple data protection cycles (full, incremental, or differential) have occurred in order to provide data redundancy.
Considering the robustness of your data protection infrastructure such as your network, hardware, and storage resources, this option allows you to specify the minimum number of days where no data protection failure has occurred, and a relative priority.
Long Term Coverage Category
Allows you to specify the minimum number of weeks that at least one full data protection operation per week must have occurred, and a relative priority.
Allows you to specify the minimum number of months that at least one full data protection operation per month must have occurred, and a relative priority.
Allows you to specify the minimum number of years that at least one full data protection operation per year must have occurred, and a relative priority.
