CommCell Console - Troubleshooting

Java security warning appears when launching CommCell Console as a web-based application

Symptom

If you have Java version 7 (Update 45) or higher installed on your computer, and you launch the CommCell Console as a web-based application, you may see the following security warning message indicating that the application will run with unrestricted access causing a security risk.

Also, the application may not launch if Java version 7 (Update 51) or higher is installed.

Resolution

This Java version imposes more security checks for the CommCell Console. You can safely ignore this warning and continue to run the application.

If you are still not able to launch the CommCell Console, do one of the following:

• Make sure you have Service Pack 14 installed on your CommCell Console software (highly recommended)
• From the Java control panel, reduce the Java security level to medium (not recommended)
