In cases where installation of External Data Connector is not feasible, or for surveying of the environment needs, data output from the respective vendor commands can be directly imported to CommServe using the EDC Cloud.
Predefined scripts (with vendor-specific commands underneath) can be downloaded for easier execution of output files bundling and transfer. Also, direct commands can be run on the vendor server. Please see the script in order to learn which commands need to be run.
Use the pre-deployment survey to collect Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) data and import it to a CommServe to generate reports for survey purposes. Note that the predefined scripts collect data from the Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) server. Client side information, such as encryption, is not collected and job information is collected over a two year period.
