Recover a File from the NetWare System Console

Before You Begin

To recover an archived file from the NetWare system console:

1. Access the system console on the NetWare Server where the archived files reside.
2. From the system console prompt, execute any command that performs an open and read on the archive file that you want to recover. For example, you can use the EDIT command in a couple of ways to do this:
   • EDIT <path><filename> then press Enter.
   • EDIT then press Enter. From the system editor, browse to the archived file you want to recover then click on the file to open it.
3. The recovery job is submitted to the Job Controller, and you can track the status of the job from the Job Controller window in the CommCell Console.
