From the CommCell Browser, right-click the
defaultarchiveset that contains the message(s) that you want to
recover, click All Tasks and then click Browse command.

step-by-step instructions. If you accept all defaults, you will be browsing
the latest archives for the selected data.
Select whether to Unconditionally Overwrite, Append, or
Skip a message in the event that the message(s) you are recovering already exist.
By default, the system will append these message(s) to the mailbox folder. It will not overwrite the original message(s).
Select the recovery destination as described in the
Recover Out-of-Place or Cross-Application procedure. Keep in mind that
the default options will recover the message(s) in place to the same client,
unless otherwise specified.
From the Advanced Recovery Options
dialog boxes, select the recovery options that you want to use. When you accept all the default settings, you will be recovering
the selected data to its original location.
When recovering encrypted data, refer to
Data Encryption for
comprehensive feature information and procedures for using the
Encryption
tab of the Advanced Recovery Options dialog box.
After completing your selections, you can either start an immediate
recovery or schedule the recovery.
If you want to schedule the job, click the
Job Initiation
tab from the Recovery Options dialog box, click Schedule, schedule the
job, and then click
OK.
If you want to run the job now, accept or click Run Immediately
in the same tab and then click OK.
While the job is running, you can right-click the job in the Job Controller
and select Detail to view information on the job. After the data has been recovered, you will see a job completion message in
the Job Controller and Event Viewer.
Recover a Message from a Lotus Notes
Mailbox Client
This procedure can be used to recover only Lotus Notes client mailbox
messages which have been configured to display stub icons.
Required Capability: None.
To
recover a mail message from a Lotus Notes mailbox client:
Log in to your Lotus Notes mailbox client.
Locate the message header you want to recover, and then double-click the
corresponding stub icon.
The Archived Message dialog box will indicate that the message being
opened is an archived message and will ask whether you want to recover the
original message. You can select the Delete stub after recovery
checkbox to delete the stub after the message or item has been recovered. Also, you
can select the Do not show this page again checkbox to prevent the
Archived Message dialog box from being displayed again during subsequent
recoveries.
Click Recover to continue.
The Recovering Archived Message dialog box appears, indicating the status
of the recovery.
After the recovery has completed you can double-click the
message or item to view its contents.
