The Calypso Software Suite allows you to provide Managed Backup Services to end users within their organization or to external customers.
You can provide Managed Backup Services using a single CommServe that can easily be shared by multiple tenants and monitored by a single administrative user or team. From the tenants (or renters) point of view they see only their own computers and entities, giving them the perception that they each own and use a single CommServe to themselves.
This is easily accomplished using Calypso security. This configuration allows one Central group (or single Administrator) to manage the CommServe while the tenants focus on the management of their clients and MediaAgents. Tenant data is backed up to MediaAgents that reside within the tenant's environment thereby eliminating the chance of data being stolen or tempered by anyone.
