Description
This utility tests the FTP download for use by the QiNetix update feature. It can check them directly to a specified FTP site or via a specified HTTP Proxy Server.

By default the tool connects to qupdate.commvault.com, which is where QiNetix Update checks for patches.

If the proxy option is unchecked, the tool will use a direct connection. If the proxy option is checked, the tool will go through the HTTP proxy and authenticate, if necessary, with the supplied user name and password.

For the server and port to use, please check the proxy settings of your Internet browser. Ports used vary, but the most common ones are 3128 (this is the Squid default) or 8080.

Note that only .exe files are listed, and per default setting the only visible executable is PatchInstaller.exe.

Usage
  1. Copy the executable and dll to any convenient directory on CommServe.
  2. Run the executable.
