Previously, hard linked data that was backed up would duplicate data by
making a copy of the data for each hardlink saved. This fix will cause only
a single copy to be saved for the hardlinked files.

mount. The resulting LUN ID will be saved back into this reg value so that
the subsequent mounts will not reuse the same ID. This value will
continually increase to 255 and then go back to 20.
Add a string value 'sNetAppOneSnapPerVol' and set to 'Y'. With this
registry in place if there is more than one LUN on a single filer volume,
only one snapshot will be created on this volume. Be aware that each LUN
will have an independent reference to the snapshot in the database so if
the snapshot for one LUN is deleted it will delete the snap for both LUNs.

Before You Install the Update

Ensure that no jobs are in progress. If a job is in progress while you attempt to install this Patch the installation will detect the running job and will exit.

Installing the patch

1. Run the InstallUpdate script from folder cd_patch or cd_update

Uninstalling the patch

1. Verify that no jobs are running on the client.

Description

The following problems are fixed in this update.

1. AIX 1-Touch restore failing when client host name does not contain domain
name.

2. 1-Touch recovery job may fail with error "fail:::readchild() - Info: the
child process exited with non zero return status '512."

3. AIX 1-Touch backup job is failing with message "The MAC address is not set
or incorrect in NIM Master for this client."
Special Note:
The standard Ethernet Network adapter must be available on the 1-Touch
client machine and configured to be able access 1-Touch boot server (NIM
Master machine).
All EtherChannel adapters must be configured with interface number higher
than any standard Ethernet Network adapter.
The NIM Master must be configured with Network resource for network of
that standard Ethernet Network adapter on NIM Client machine.
After 1-Touch recovery the machine will be reboot to finalize the
configuration.

Description

The following problems are fixed in this update.

1. NAS DAR restores from restarted backups that span media, after restarting
sometimes do not restore all files. The restore jobs are successful. The
missed files are from the spanned media.

2. NAS restores job details do not display the bytes restored properly. When
the restore starts the bytes restored quickly jumps to the size of the
backup and then increments from there - so it is possible that the bytes
restored would be twice the backup size.
